CCACH's flagship Jeopardy-style quiz competition celebrating Black history and the achievements of people of African and Caribbean descent — running strong for over 32 years.
What is AfroQuiz?
AfroQuiz is an exciting, Jeopardy-style academic competition that tests students' knowledge of African and Caribbean history, culture, geography, and current events. Open to students in Grades 1–12, it's one of Edmonton's longest-running cultural education programs.
Students compete in an engaging House system — Nsuo, Asaase, Mframa, and Ogya — building teamwork, pride, and a deep connection to their heritage.
The program includes AfroQuiz-in-Schools residency packages that bring the experience directly into classrooms, and AfroCademy prep cycles that help students build knowledge and confidence throughout the year.
